"Welcome to the St. Regis. Your Astor Suite is waiting."
Winner of the Mobile Travel Guide Five Star Award for 2008, the
St. Regis San Francisco is the essence of true luxury. The St.
Regis blends a historic building, a 40 story tower consisting
of hotel guest rooms/suites and gorgeous condominum residences, and the
Museum of the African Diaspora into a refined modern day interpretation of
the St. Regis legacy. The hotel is located in the vibrant SOMA (South of
Market) area, adjoining the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
The 260 guest rooms are harbors of sophisticated and thoughtful comfort.
The contemporary interior features the finest finishes,
including Bella Crema marble and Mozambique wood doors.
Warm leather walls, art installations and other design
amenities serve to create an elegant and welcoming sense of arrival.
The bathroom embodies pure indulgence with its oversized soaking
tub and separate shower area. For an unforgettable experience of
boundless luxury, 46 spectacular suites range in size from a
spacious 700 (such as the Astor Suite that we stayed in, and is
pictured above) to a lavish 3,200 square feet.
Prior to arrival, you will be contacted by a "Guest Historian" who
will help you make reservations and note any special requests. I mentioned
that it was going to be a celebration for my wife's birthday, so this must
explain the complimentary suite upgrade given that I am using a Starwood
Preferred Guest Award (more on this later). Nice touch.
Once you settle in, ever-resourceful St. Regis Butlers are at your beck and call,
ready to transform every request, every need into immediate
and delightful reality. Your wish is their command - they can
handle packing/unpacking, coffee/tea service, pressing, Ame and
Vitrine restaurant reservations, Remede Spa appointments, and much more.
We needed transporation to a local restaurant,
and they arranged to have us chauffeured in the hotel's Bentley Continental
Flying Spur. Use of the house car is provided complimentary on a first come,
first serve basis and you can be driven to destinations within a few mile
radius of the hotel.
Did I mention the Remede Spa? They describe it as a "fabulous sojourn
of indulgence and relaxation." When you arrive, you are escorted to the
luxurious locker rooms, appointed with cedar-lined lockers and separate
whirlpools, steam rooms, and saunas for men and women. A short distance
from the locker room is a beautiful indoor infinity pool where you can
take a refreshing swim, or lounge with complete food and beverage service.
If you come to love the St. Regis lifestyle, and I am sure you will,
you can call it home by
purchasing one of the private condominium residences on the upper floors.
Rising from the 22nd to 40th floors, the 102 residences are a stunning
convergence of world-class architecture and impeccable hospitality. Their
views are expansive.
At the time of this writing, there are currently two (2) two-bedrooms condos
available for purchase. Each condo has 2.5 baths, approximately 1,792
square feet, a private terrace, and panoramic South to North views of the
Bay and SF skyline. Valet parking for one car is available.
The home on the 27th floor is listed for $3,345,000 and the home on the
33rd floor is listed for $3,695,000. For more information on each home (including pictures and additional
details) or to schedule a private showing, please contact me at (877)
765-2347 or email me.
P.S. I mentioned that I was using a Starwood Preferred Guest award for
a complimentary stay. I am a huge fan of this program, as it provides
a great deal of flexibility in booking award stays and transferring points
to nearly any airline program. A great way to earn points in the program is
through the American Express Starwood Preferred Guest Card. I'm including
a link below that will let you apply for the card and receive up to 25,000
points if you are approved for the card. (With 20,000 Starpoints, you too
can have a complimentary night at the St. Regis San Francisco).
